Te Rangimarie Marae
We visited Te Rangimarie Marae, it was a wet day but we had a great time! We got to visit the Wharenui and we shared our pepeha. Mrs Te Awe Awe taught the gils poi and the boys learnt the haka with Mr Te Awe Awe.
Logan from Horizons came out and we went to the river, we looked at the water quality, it was really interesting. We got to see how far fish can see when the river water is dirty.

Science, ANZAC and Art
We have been working on a range of fun learning in our kete recently.
We have learnt all about ANZAC Day and made a wreath which Cooper & Jai laid on behalf of TKM during our school service. As well as this, we have learnt all about our school Pataka, War Memorial and Bell Tower.

We also have worked hard on a variety of art projects which you can see in and around our kete.
Math has also been lots of fun this term. Having just completed investigating measurement, we made & measured: jelly, popcorn & lemonade. Lucky us, we got to eat the evidence too!

Weight!
Today we used the scales to weigh everyday items in the classroom using 20,10,5 and 1 gram weights.
Pencils were light and some only weighed 2grams but scissors weighed 27grams.
We can help you at the supermarket now if you need to buy amounts of food!

Maths fun!
We are getting very good at making "groups of" in our maths group. Today we had races to see who could work out the answers to times tables the fastest. Next step... to learn our 2 and 5 x tables off by heart. Please help test us at home... in the car... anywhere!!!!
